Planning Post

Image
Poster planning   Initially, I had an alternate  idea  which consisted of a documentary   that was about the dark side of the wealthy which is a stark  difference to my final chosen idea.   I h ad used  the  opport unity  t hat  I w as  goi ng  to an  abr oad  on an educa tional trip and after my return, I had realised that  my original idea would not be functional  anymore,   so I had used pictures I had taken from the trip  to organise a  brand-new  Idea. Initially , I was stuck for  ideas  I could use for Disney that  would align with the photos I had taken  in the end I had decided that  a behind the scenes  perspective for a  documentary  would be very interesting and bring interest from a wide  range of age ranges  of audiences . Paired with the iconography of Disney, and their several  branches of franchises attracts peo...

Statement of Intent

Media institutions    For my posters to be advertised  in a public setting they must  comply with  standard  complicities to be displayed. This includes not showing any harmful or offensive content which would include, violence, drug use, or sexual content. These must not be present I my poster although due to the theme of my poster being based on Disney as a company and how th ey captured the magic of their films into their parks, this would be  relatively easy  to ensure  as my target audience would be universal. I  checked over my posters  to ensure that it was  appropriate for  public appearance. So, therefore by avoiding  the  tropes no  unnecessary   links and references can be made which would otherwise jeopardise the company and cause audience drop or tainted reputation which can affect how an audience sees a platform fake news outlets are an example of this.   Media audience  ...

Poster Analysis 3

Image
This poster is quite similar to the nature of the first one , it is very warm in tone  however, the setting sun  and almost relaxed expression of a predator  almost makes the poster seem quite reflective in its manner  but also, unlike the first one it holds an air of maturity which can be due in part to the  uniformed cleaned text that also blends In well with the posters background  which almost adds  the sombre nature of the poster. I believe a primary target for this would be anyone aged at least 12 who may be interested in natural history and animals however, as a secondary audience I bel ieve this would appeal to a family group also due to its accessible streaming point.

Poster Analysis 2

Image
This next poster seems to have a much more  serious  tone based on  its’ appearance  judging by the  warmer , matured, muted colours . So therefore, based on this fact , I believe that the  prim ary audience  for this documentary would mostly be adults due to the  much more mature appearance.  The cover  depicts  a ma n staring down a t a hawk which is a relatively intere sting  choice  as the gaze between the two isn’t  levelled to show that the t wo are perhaps ‘equal’ showing  the man looking down at the hawk perhaps  depicting the man is maybe more important in the context of the documentary .  This poster  sp ecifically  seems to target  adults that are in the left wing as  it appears  it  centres on the environment showing animals close to humans in a non-threatening way.

Poster Analysis 1

Image
The Primary target audience for this poster  would be those aged roughly 13 and over/ family targeted as the cover portrays no graphical images  and shows a very familial setting  depicting a usually quite violent creature  in a peaceful setting up the documentary  to  have a  more peaceful  to ne  and perhaps to not be as violent as a lot  of similar documentaries can be   so having a cover like this may promote that ideal .   However, a gene ral second target audience could just be  anyone  that has an interest  in  dinosaurs or /  and people  who may like nature doc umentaries.   From the cover as well as this , the potential  audience from  immediately   looking at the poster can garner   what the documentary  is about.   The text is simple and bold  which therefore  makes it  clear and easy to  read the poster  and the title of...
